Recent scientific research has suggested that blueberries can slow cognitive degeneration in humans. A study in the USA has shown that over a sample of twenty thousand women, eating one or more portions of blueberries a week slows memory decline by up to five years.  The science behind the findings state that flavonoids - specifically anthocyanidins which are found in strawberries and blueberries are able to localise the regions of brain which control memory.

1 cup of oats, 2 bananas (or 3 small avocados), 1 egg, 1 egg white, half a cup of Greek 0% fat natural yoghurt, 200g blueberries, chia seeds, 3 tbsps sweetner (stevia or splenda), 1 tea spoon of cinnamon, 1 tea spoon of vanilla extract, 1 tea spoon of baking powder and bicarbonate of soda.
