Blueberry Recipes and Blueberry Health Benefits

Recent scientific research has suggested that blueberries can slow cognitive degeneration in humans. A study in the USA has shown that over a sample of twenty thousand women, eating one or more portions of blueberries a week slows memory decline by up to five years.  The science behind the findings state that flavonoids - specifically anthocyanidins which are found in strawberries and blueberries are able to localise the regions of brain which control memory.

375g blueberries, one tablespoon of chia seeds, whole tub (180g) of Philidelphia lightest cream cheese, 4 tablespoons of Greek 0% fat free natural yoghurt, 2 tbsps of sweetner (Splenda or Stevia), 1 tea spoon of vanilla extract and cinnamon, 1 teaspoon of ground black pepper.

Ingredients:
300g blueberries, 500g fresh strawberries, 8 tablespoons of Greek 0% fat free natural yoghurt, 2 tbsps of sweetner (Splenda or Stevia).

1 cup of oats, 2 bananas (or 3 small avocados), 1 egg, 1 egg white, half a cup of Greek 0% fat natural yoghurt, 200g blueberries, chia seeds, 3 tbsps sweetner (stevia or splenda), 1 tea spoon of cinnamon, 1 tea spoon of vanilla extract, 1 tea spoon of baking powder and bicarbonate of soda.
